Gambia Trap Neuter Release - 2025

For a week at the end of November 2025, three registered veterinary nurses (Niamh Cunningham, Charlotte Cooke, Anissa Said) and two veterinary surgeons (Scarlet Aflalo & Alice Stockburn) have volunteered their time and will travel to Gambia in West Africa to run a TNR campaign for the local dogs. Jack's Giant Journey founder and canine behaviourist, Niki Roe, will also be there to help support the team and dogs.

Working with and supported by the amazing Gunjur Dog Patrol, the goal is to neuter dogs to help with population control, as well as helping teach and support the wonderful para-vets and locals how to continue caring for these dogs when we're gone.

Injectable pain relief is hard to come by for vets, so the team are coming up with an ambitious but affordable anaesthetic protocol that they hope local vets can use themselves in the future, to further improve the welfare of these dogs.

We are currently fundraising to help cover the costs of this campaign. Please click the link below to go to our GoFundMe page and please share and donate if you can.

Bulgaria Trap Neuter Release 2024

In one of their biggest undertakings yet, Niki and Scarlet organised and travelled to Bulgaria in 2024, alongside a team of brilliant volunteer Veterinary Nurses and Vets, and ran a trap, neuter and release for the local cats and dogs.

Over 3 gruelling days more than 100 animals were neutered for free for both local citizens and Bulgarian based charities, to help with population control, as well as helping to mentor Bulgarian veterinary students.

We would love the opportunity to run another TNR in the future, if you have are affiliated with a charity abroad, or know somewhere in need, please get in touch.
